A long walk through the Neusiedlersee national park, from Illmitz to Podersdorf. With many salt lakes (mostly dry this time of year), and rich in birdlife.
The first salt lake, just outside of Illmitz.
A little falcon.
One of the few salt lakes that still had some water.
And pretty birds.
A large viewing platform.
With views over the Neusiedlersee.
At my lunch spot. I was not the only hungry one.
Just before arriving in Podersdorf, I managed to capture some beautiful pheasants.
Finally arriving in Podersdorf, along the lake.
And with its pretty lighthouse.
A panoramic view of one of the (dry) salt lakes.
And a panoramic view of the Neusiedlersee (scroll right to see it all).

|Public transport||Train to/from Neusiedl am See, then bus 290 to Illmitz and back from Podersdorf.|
