Along the Napoleon trail through the Lobau, a forest and wetland reserve along the Danube. This area was the site of two battles in 1809 between Napoleon's army and the Austrian army.
A few historical locations are now marked by memorial stones.
The trail starts along an abandoned railroad track.
The first memorial stone, indicating the former location of Napoleon's gunpowder magazine.
And nearby, the former French cemetery.
One large frog...
...and many little ones!
And finally, the location of Napoleon's former headquarters.
